Booking a private tour:

Visitors looking for a more personal experience are welcome to book a privately guided tour of the museum with one of our trained guides or the museum director.

Private Tour Fee – R500/guide (additional to the museum entrance fees)

Director's Tour - R2500 (additional to the museum entrance fees)

Please note:

•    Tour dates are subject to the availability of guides.

•    The museum director’s tour is subject to the director’s availability. Should the director be unavailable on a requested date, the SAJM will try to arrange a tour with a Jewish historian.

•    Tours are conducted during opening hours and last approximately one hour.

•    Additional guides are required for groups larger than 15.

•    Receipt of the private tour fee is required to confirm your booking.

•    For visitor cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice the museum will not issue a refund of the private tour fee.

•    Visitors arriving more than ten minutes late without notice for their tour may have the tour shortened or cancelled.

•    Should the museum for any reason be required to cancel a guided tour, the visitors will be issued a refund.
