“Dark City Dreams” by local photographer Michael Meyersfeld.

This exhibition was borne out of desire to show the smiling face of Alexandra township. Alex normally conjures up images of poverty, illness, crime and grime. Whilst this is a less than privileged society, there also exists a life that throbs with excitement, joy, happiness and hope.

Meyersfeld lives and works in Johannesburg South Africa. He has held fifteen previous exhibitions and has published two books. He is the winner of numerous awards, the most recent being a Gold at the London AOP Awards.
