  • When is the Museum open?
    The South Africa Jewish Museum is open from Sunday to Thursday from 10am–5pm and Friday from 10am–2pm. We are closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
  • How long can I stay at the Museum?
    You are welcome to stay as long as we are open. There is no time limit.
  • Do I qualify for a discounted ticket?
    If you hold a pension card, a student card, you qualify for a discounted ticket.
  • Do you take cash?
    Yes, we take cash and all major credit cards.
  • I have a booking query, or am having trouble reserving my tickets online. What should I do?
    For ticketing enquiries, please call the Museum on +27 21 465-1546 or email info@sajewishmuseum.co.za and our staff will provide assistance and help you register.
  • Do I need to wear a kippah when visiting the museum?
    It is not necessary to wear a kippah when you visit as the Old Shul has been deconsecrated.
  • Do I need to book an appointment to visit the museum?
    It is not necessary to book an appointment unless you are wanting a private tour of the museum.
