upcoming ochberg Orphan exhibition
coming december 2026

Isaac Ochberg saved almost 200 Jewish orphans from the pogroms of Eastern Europe. With the help of the South African Jewish community, he gave them a chance to rebuild their broken lives.

In December 2026, the SA Jewish Museum will open an exhibition dedicated to Isaac Ochberg and the lives of those he saved. The exhibition, drawn from first-person accounts, will share how acts of courage can shape the future in ways no one could have imagined.

The SA Jewish Museum is proud to tell their story, but we need your help.

We want to hear from you!
